Minor in Possession Offender Programs

Taxonomy Code: RX-5100

Programs that provide mandated educational classes for individuals younger than age 21 who have been convicted of attempting to purchase, possess or use alcohol and/or other drugs including prescription drugs, and ordered by the court to seek assistance as part of state efforts to enforce laws related to underage drinking and use of drugs. In some jurisdictions, MIP laws and associated education programs also pertain to the use of cigarettes/tobacco products.
