Lead Safe Homes

Programs that provide a temporary, lead safe living environment in which families of lead poisoned children can stay following hospitalization while they seek permanent lead safe housing or while their own home is undergoing abatement. The program may provide lead poisoning prevention information, mutual support groups for residents and assistance in locating a new residence. Also included are programs that provide a subsidy for temporary housing if a person's home is uninhabitable due to lead.
